How can my company make a difference?
- Become a Business Partners in Education. Your company can form a partnership with a local school to financially sponsor the Junior Achievement Programs they have selected for the school year. Companies often supply volunteers in addition to their financial contribution and continue a relationship with the same school year after year.
- Make a general contribution. JA serves several school in Hampton Roads, and you can help support these programs by making a donation. See our Make a Donation page.
- Participate in one of our special events to raise money to benefit JA. See Events for more information.

How can just one person make a difference? You can volunteer your time as a classroom volunteer. You will be matched up with a teacher in the grade level of your choice, and we will provide you with the necessary training and guidance to complete the program. Volunteering for one program requires a time committment of approximately 8-20 hours, depending on the program you select. This includes training, travel, and teaching time. You can volunteer for one program or several - it's up to you! Whether you teach one or twenty programs through Junior Achievement, you can be sure that you will touch the lives of many children in your community. See the Volunteer section for more information.
